Mihaela Onofrei is a doctoral supervisor in the field of finance. Her proactive academic and research activity is highlighted through her extensive list of publications (25 books and over 110 scientific articles), 120 conference proceedings, and her involvement in 27 research projects and structural grants. Her expertise is in comparative administrative systems, corporate governance, and financial management. Over the years, Professor Onofrei has held several leading positions within the University, including that of head of the finance, in the Money and Public Administration Department (2012–2016) and rector-in-charge (2017–2019). She is a member of the workgroup "Finance and Accountancy of the Public Sector" within the Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe (NISPACEE) based in Bratislava (Slovakia), since 2001. She teaches courses on elements of public administration science (1st cycle), decision making in public administration (1st cycle), and comparative administrative science (2nd cycle).
