Lassaad Gzara (King Abdulaziz University), with a Google Scholar, RG and Scopus h-index of 20, 20, and 19, respectively, has been an Associate Professor of Chemistry at the Center of Excellence in Desalination Technology – King Abdulaziz University (Saudi Arabia) since 2011. Dr. Lassaad is an expert in the field of membrane technology, particularly in membrane preparation and characterization and application in desalination and wastewater treatments. Dr. Lassaad’s field of expertise includes desalination, wastewater treatment and reuse, nanocomposite membranes, and membrane distillation. Dr. Lassaad has more than 36 journal publications and 1 book chapter. Moreover, Dr. Lassaad is working on the preparation and characterization of novel hydrophobic membranes, both in flat sheet and hollow fiber configuration, which are applied to SWRO brine andfor treatment via DCMD. Dr. Lassaad has supervised more than 10 MSc and Ph.D. students and research fellows.
