Cecilia Maria Bolognesi graduated in Architecture in 1987 at Politecnico di Milano. She obtained her PhD in 1996 at the University Institute of Architecture Venice. She is currently the Associate Professor in the Scientific Sector ICAR/17 at the Department of Architecture, Building and Construction at Politecnico di Milano. At the ABC Department in Politecnico, she is responsible for the implementation of Digital Skills in the Master's degree of the School. She is also the Scientific Director of the LaborA Laboratory, Politecnico di Milano. (Fisical and Virtual Modelling Laboratory of the Athenaeum), part of the Scientific Committee of the SaperLab Laboratory (Computational Modelling Laboratory). She has experimented with operational and methodological applications in national context, mainly related to tangible and intangible case studies, focusing on the relationship between surveys and representations in the field of digital heritage and BIM environments. She has worked in several public and private contexts as a consultant, dedicated to modelling from the territorial scale to the construction scale to finalize BIM and Virtual Environments She has held conferences, and curated monographs and several papers on different topics: modelling, BIM, HBIM, Virtual Environments and Representation. She is responsible for projects on Virtuality and Digitalization, Digitalization and BIM and HBIM.
