Prof. Dr. Habib Tabatabai is a Professor and Director of the Structural Engineering Laboratory at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, USA. He completed his Ph.D. in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Florida in 1987. His research focus areas include the reliability of bridges (survival analyses), durability of bridges, jointless and integral abutment bridges, stay cables and cable-stay bridges, repair and rehabilitation, damage detection in structures, structural health monitoring, utilization of byproducts in construction, and high and low cycle fatigue of structures.
