In recent years, there has been a notable surge in the utilization of stabilized bile acid liposomes, chemical conjugates, complexes, mixed micelles, and other drug delivery systems derived from bile acids, often referred to as bilosomes. The molecular structure and interactions of these amphiphilic compounds provide a distinctive and captivating subject for investigation. The enhanced stability of new generation bilosomes inside the gastrointestinal system results in the prevention of drug degradation and an improvement in mucosal penetration. These characteristics render bilosomes to be a prospective nanocarrier for pharmaceutical administration, prompting researchers to investigate their potential in other domains. This review paper discusses bilosomes that have emerged as a viable modality in the realm of drug delivery and have significant promise for use across several domains. Moreover, this underscores the need for additional investigation and advancement in order to comprehensively comprehend the prospective uses of bilosomes and their effectiveness in the field of pharmaceutical administration. This review study explores the current scholarly attention on bilosomes as prospective carriers for drug delivery. Therapeutic areas where bilosomes have shown outstanding performance in terms of drug delivery are outlined in the graphical

Lyotropic liquid crystalline cores are characterized as soft nanoparticles and referred as cubosomes. They are prepared to activate the natural self-assembly capability of lipids (e.g., monoolein or phytantriol) in water. Cubosomes are crystalline isotropic lipidic nanoparticles stabilized by Poloxamers such as F127, F108. It is made up of a network of two separate aqueous channels formed by a three-dimensional, non-intersecting lipid bilayer imposed over an indefinite periodic minimum surface of cubic symmetry. Cubosomes constitute unique features such as their special cubic structure which permits to incorporate highly lipophilic, hydrophilic, and amphiphilic drugs. Also, the lipids excipients used in the preparation of cubosomes such as monoolein, phytantriol are biodegradable and biocompatible so these cubic nanoparticles are referred as safe carrier for drug delivery. Cubic lipid nanoparticles have a highly stable cubic shape that allows for a slower rate of dissociation, improved drug retention, and site-specific drug delivery. The architecture of cubic particles provides suitability in the drug delivery as compared to other lipids-based drug delivery systems such as solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN), liposomes due to their drug expulsion to the surface of nanoparticles. Cubosomes with these loaded features/architectural composition led to an array of desired performance. Solvent evaporation, ultrasonication, hydrotrope, spray drying, melt dispersion emulsifying methods are used to prepare these carrier systems.

Cancer remains a leading global health challenge, necessitating continuous advancements in diagnostics and therapeutics to enhance patient outcomes. According to the recent data of the American Cancer Society, an estimated 20 million new cancer cases and 9.7 million cancer deaths occurred globally in 2022, with cases projected to reach 35 million by 2050. Early and accurate diagnosis is critical for effective treatment, and the traditional methods often lack sensitivity and specificity. Advanced analytical techniques, comprising molecular and genomic diagnostics, next-generation sequencing (NGS), and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven imaging, have significantly enhanced early detection and real-time tumor monitoring. In therapeutics, precision oncology has emerged as a transformative approach, integrating immunotherapy, gene editing (CRISPR), matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI), CAR-T cell therapy, and nanotechnology-based delivery for targeted treatment. Dual-purpose tools like NGS, predictive modeling, and molecular profiling bridge both domains, enhancing predictive accuracy via multimodal data fusion as a paradigm-shifting analytical platform revolutionizing traditional approaches. Despite advancements, resistance and accessibility challenges entail continued innovation. These advancements, driven by the convergence of biotechnology, data science, and molecular medicine, substantiate diagnostic accuracy and therapeutic precision. This review critically examines current analytical innovations, including molecular, imaging modalities, biosensors, and therapy-guiding analytics, highlighting their integration within precision oncology frameworks.
