Xiao-Gang Lu is a Professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Shanghai University, Shanghai, China. He received his B.Sc. (1992) and M.Sc. (1995) from Central South University, and his Ph.D. from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden in 2005. Then, he worked for five years at Thermo-Calc, and joined Shanghai University as a Professor of Special Appointment (Eastern Scholar) in 2011. His main research areas include thermodynamic calculations of materials, kinetic simulations of phase transitions, first principles calculations, modeling of physical properties of materials, and research on integrated computational methods for materials.
Ying Li, Associate Professor, Shanghai University, Master's Supervisor. Dr. Li's research focuses on machine learning, scientific computing, and engineering computation. She has led several research projects, including the General Program and the Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), as well as the Shanghai Sailing Program.
Yang Zha graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology in 2017. In 2018, Yang began a combined Master's and Ph.D. program at the Institute of Materials Genome Engineering at Shanghai University. Under the supervision of Professors Xiaogang Lu and Ying Li, Yang's research primarily focuses on applying machine learning to the development of new materials.
