It is well known that, as they perform their work-related activities, people use only a small portion of their creative abilities and potentials, while the largest portion remains unused. If people are motivated, they invest more energy and passion into their work, and their good spirit helps them overcome all types of problems they come across at work. Likewise, motivated employees are in the state of emotional and intellectual satisfaction and feel great devotion to the organization they work for. An old Japanese saying speaks volumes about the importance of motivation: There is no point in carving a Buddha if you do not bring spirit into it. The question of motivation has become quite a challenge for modern managers because motivation is a continuous and changeable process that demands an individual approach. Numerous factors impact motivation and one of the most significant ones, to which special attention should be paid in the globalization era, is the cultural one.

In modern business conditions, organizational culture is recognized as a powerful tool for long-term survival and development of the organization. The purpose of this paper was to research whether and in what way the characteristics of organizations - such as its size, ownership structure, activity, domestic or foreign - influence the organizational culture. Because of continuous and rapid changes and enormous competition, which are features of modern business, the Denison model of organizational culture was chosen because it emphasizes the need for balance between requirements for organizational stability (factors of mission and consistency) and requirements for its adaptability (factors of involvement and adaptability). The survey covered a sample of 1,000 employees and the data was statistically processed using the one-way ANOVA method. The obtained results show the influence of organizational characteristics on its ability to balance the internal and external focus of the organization, its stability, and its ability to change. Likewise, there should be a certain organizational cultural transformation as a response to the paradigm change in wider environment should be a certain organizational cultural transformation as a response to the paradigm change in wider environment.

Emergencies occur unexpectedly, abruptly, and they set tasks for managers that are different from the usual way of work of the organization. The organization is then faced with the challenge to respond to the new situation with the available funds and following specially prescribed procedures, which can be very demanding for the management. At the moment, in the conditions of a pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the problem is the fact that most health systems don't have enough health workers who can take care of a large number of infected patients. As their number is small, and at the same time they are in great danger of being easily infected with the virus, it is clear that special attention must be paid to their management and protection. The paper presents the results of research on the quality of management of employees in state health institutions that had the status of COVID hospitals in Belgrade and Loznica according to the level of health care service and highlights critical points that should be improved in the future.

Digital globalization, which came about with the birth of the Internet and digital technologies, has revolutionized the way information, ideas, capital and people move around the world. This is how the fourth industrial revolution has begun, bringing about challenges and opportunities that shape our global society and modern life. Namely, this new era of connectedness, characterized by speed, innovation and constant changes, is transforming many aspects of our lives as individuals and of our society as a whole. Given that education is the cornerstone of every society and the crucial tool for the future, it is necessary to explore how digital globalization impacts and redefines the existing education systems. This paper focuses on understanding that particular impact, but also the impact it has on the development of new trends on the labour market and the importance of adapting to them.

Adequate and timely response in terms of permanent changes is essential for the survival of any company. The capacity for such response is measured by degree of flexibility, whereby flexibility is the ability of the company to change itself or to be easily changed according to any given situation. The phenomenon of flexibility can be achieved by more complete involvement of employees in the system of organization functioning, including development of their resources, participation in decision-making and self-organization of work, freedom to undertake initiatives, a good system of information, and encouragement of team orientation and interactivity of employees in achieving organizational goals. The study's aim is to show, through empirical research, a degree of employees' involvement in companies in Serbia, to identify the factors that influence its development and analyze difference in involvement in domestic and foreign companies. The survey was conducted through a questionnaire based on Denison model of organizational culture whereby the sample size 1000 respondents. Data were statistically analyzed and interpreted. The results showed that companies in Serbia still need to work on improving involvement of employees in a company life, that there is difference between domestic and foreign companies in decisions making and that the team work is the main factor of involvement of employees.
