Georgios Mitkidis is the Head of Alternative Energies and Renewable Fuels division within the Strategic Planning and Development department of the Motor Oil Group. He is a chemical Engineer with studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He also holds a Professional Doctorate in Engineering from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and an MBA from the Hellenic Open University. He worked for 14 years in Shell Global Solutions located in the Shell Technology Center in the Netherlands where he held the position of Front End Development Manager in Downstream and New Energies projects. He has extensive professional experience in the areas of Refining, Gas and Petrochemicals technologies specializing in design, evaluation and project development of processing facilities. He is also experienced in the development of novel and new energy technologies in the fields of carbon capture, chemicals, alternative and renewable fuels.
