Prof. Dr. Jens Wickert is the head of GNSS remote sensing research and the research director for “The Atmosphere in Global Change” of the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences. In addition, he holds a professorship for “GNSS Remote Sensing, Navigation and Positioning” at the University of Technology Berlin. He is the principal investigator of several GNSS-related research projects, including GPS Radio Occultation missions. He received his PhD degree in geophysics/meteorology from the Karl-Franzens-University Graz, Austria in 2002. He is the author/co-author of more than 250 publications on GNSS Earth Observation. Since 2021, he has been a member of the GNSS Science Advisory Committee (GSAC) of the ESA.
