Juan Enrique Nieto Julián holds a PhD from the University of Seville. Degree in Architecture and Building Engineering and Master's Degree in Architecture and Historical Heritage. He develops his scientific work in the lines: Historical Building Information Models - HBIM and Application of new techniques of measurement and non-destructive prospecting in Heritage: Laser Scanning, Photogrammetry and Thermography. He has been a professor, since 1997, in the Department of Graphic Expression and Building Engineering. Teacher in the subject of BIM Technology in Building and coordinator of the subject Graphic Expression of Technologies in Building. Director of the Master's Degree in Open BIM Methodology and Construction Project Management. Speaker in several Master's Degrees at the University of Seville: Master's Degree in Interior Design and Project Management; Master's Degree in Forensic Engineering in Building; Master's Degree in Building Project Supervision and Diagnosis.
Member of the BuildingSmart Spanish Chapter and of the scientific committee of the Spanish Journal of Building Information Modeling. Technical Coordinator and Co-author of the UBIM Guide: Doc14 - "BIM Applied to Cultural Heritage" of BuildingSmart Spain.
Member, as a BIM Expert, of CoP for BIM Training in the Public Administration, Junta de Andalucía, 2017-2019. Reviewer of scientific journal articles in the field of BIM, Heritage BIM, Photogrammetry and Scanning.
