Dr. Sangmin Shin is an assistant professor at the School of Civil, Environmental and Infrastructure Engineering at Southern Illinois University. He completed his PhD studies
in water resources engineering at the Korea Advanced Institute of
Science and Technology and served as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Utah. His teaching disciplines include fluid
mechanics, groundwater hydrology, open channel hydraulics, hydrologic analysis
and design, water resources engineering, and water resources engineering and
management, and his research interests include integrated water resources management, critical
interdependent infrastructure modeling, the water cyber-physical system, artificial
intelligence, and urban water sustainability and resilience.
