Dr Major Mabuza is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering Technology, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He holds a DEng in Chemical Engineering from Tshwane University of Technology. His main research interests fall within the fields of chemical and metallurgical engineering primarily focusing on carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS); metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for carbon dioxide capture; landfill biogas recovery (process and materials); and recovery of rare earth elements (REEs) from coal fly ash.
