Prof. Dr. Anup Pandith

Anup Pandith was born in Theerthahalli, Karnataka, a southwestern part of India (1988). He received BSc (Honors) in Applied Chemistry (2009) and an MSc in Industrial Chemistry (2011) from Kuvempu University, India. He worked as a research associate at Syngene Intl. Ltd. in Bangalore and as a junior research fellow with the late Prof. A. Srikrishna at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (2011-2013). He finished doctoral studies with Prof. Hong-Seok Kim’s research group at the Dept. of Applied Chemistry, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, Korea (2014-2017). After two years of post-doctoral experience with Dr. Young Jun Seo, (2017-2019), he worked as Research Professor in Department of Chemistry and Bioactive Materials, Jeonbuk National University (Formerly Chonbuk National University), Jeonju, Korea (2019-2020). Since July 2020, til date he is currently working as Research Professor in Kyunghee University (Seoul Campus). His current research concerns the design, synthesis, and photo-physical studies of novel chromo-fluorogenic functional materials and their applications in bio-molecules (DNA/RNA recognitions aided therapies) and ion recognition in real samples and biological systems by their molecular photonic logic gate/security operations. Also, he is actively involving in development of novel corrosion protection and wood preservative materials for sustainable future.
