Jiyoung Yu received his B.S. and Ph.D. in
Mechanical Engineering from Hanyang University, Korea, in 2007 and 2013. He
worked as a Senior Research Engineer at Hyundai Steel Company (2013–2019). He
is now a Principal Research Engineer of the Korea Institute of Industrial
Technology. His research topics mainly include robotic welding and the automation
of welding and joining processes.
