5G mobile communication technology is anticipated to merge with many other sectors, spurring innovation and creating substantial ripple effects. Despite the significance of this advancement, current research provides limited knowledge of users' behavioral reactions to the affordances, values, and trust generated from 5G technology. To investigate this relationship, this study used the Stimulus-response theory and the consumption values theory. The empirical data was gathered from 373 consumers in China using a survey method. To validate the model's suggested relationships, the author utilized the partial least squares-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) technique. The finding designates that the affordances and purchase intention relationship was mediated by consumption values and trust. Given the significance of 5G technology and its potential, this study investigates what drives and deters consumers from obtaining 5G technology. Original findings insights on the role of affordances in developing marketing strategies and increasing consumer intentions to purchase 5G technology products.
The social distancing due to the Covid-19 epidemic has disturbed all sectors of society, including education. To maintain normal operations, it is necessary to adapt quickly to this situation. Many technologies and platforms have rushed to offer their support to users. This article adopts a critical perspective to reflect on the factors that may cause the hasty adoption of 5G smart learning technology. To investigate students' intentions toward smart learning, this article provides a theoretical framework premised on the technology acceptance model (TAM) by adding components from the social practise theory (SPT). Based on data analysis through Structural equation Modeling (SEM) of a survey (n = 375) conducted in China, we found that the choice of 5G smart-learning technology depends on the combined effect of Material (MAA), Meanings (MEA), and Competency access (COA) factors. The results illustrate that these are the effective factors for student’s intentions to adopt 5G smart-learning technology. These outcomes are intended to aid service providers and decision-makers in developing effective ways to increase smart learning use. These findings can also enable us to identify challenges affecting smart learning adoption and to contribute to the design and proper supply of smart learning programs in other countries.

Consumer innovativeness is a significant personality attribute that refers to a person’s proclivity to acquire and utilize new items more rapidly and frequently than others. Although previous research has revealed a relationship between consumer innovativeness and the intention to buy new technology products, little is known about the determinants such as visibility and guidance affordances, environmental awareness, and safety concerns that underpin this relationship. Using the diffusion of innovation (DOI) theory through the PLS-SEM approach, this study analyzed the data of 341 Chinese consumers to explore the prospects mentioned above. The empirical results show that visibility and guidance affordances encourage consumer innovativeness. The results further reveal that environmental awareness and product safety concerns mediate the consumer innovativeness and purchase intention relationship. This model will contribute to the literature by improving predictive ability over previous models. Therefore, managers and policy-makers who wish to make constructive changes in the intentions of technology consumers are encouraged to ruminate on the extrapolations of this article.
Purpose: Integrating modern food technologies within the tourism sector improves the pleasures, convenience and involvement of travelers. Central to this advancement is AI-powered food applications (AI-PFDA), which are vital in driving this shift. However, the adoption of AI-PFDA is impeded by the gap between travelers’ usage intention (UI) and their actual usage behavior (UB), a phenomenon that has received limited scholarly attention in recent years.Design/methodology/approach: To address the identified disparity, this study introduces a theoretical model based on self-determination theory, cognitive dissonance theory and mere exposure theory. The proposed model was tested using data collected from a questionnaire administered to 305 tourists in China, employing partial least squares structural equation modeling and necessary conditions analysis techniques.Findings: Our findings demonstrate a significant partial mediating effect of perceived autonomy, competence and relatedness, a positive moderating effect of mere exposure and a negative moderating effect of reference price on the relationship between UI and UB.Originality/value: This research enriches the current literature and assists policymakers in developing measures to mitigate the intention–behavior gap in adopting AI-PFDA within the framework of smart tourism.

Bionic soft robots (BSRs) present notable benefits in their versatility, adaptability, and seamless integration across various sectors and societal contexts. However, the widespread adoption of these robots is impeded by regulatory obstacles, sustainability concerns, a shortage of exhaustive research, and inadequate support systems. To address this gap, an extended unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) framework was applied in this study to analyze quantitative data from 320 organizational users applying the PLS-SEM approach. The research discovered that government support (GS), effort expectancy (EE), facilitating conditions (FC), and information discourse (ID) have a substantial impact on BSR adoption. These outcomes also revealed that GS favorably regulated the FC and behavior relationships, while ID negatively correlated with social influence (SI) and intention relationships. These findings provide researchers and policymakers with theoretical and practical insights for establishing methods to optimize, integrate, and assess the merging of technology and organizational policies.
