Prof. Nicolas P Avdelidis

Nicolas P. Avdelidis (Nico) has been a professor and head of the Integrated Vehicle Health Management (IVHM) Centre at Cranfield University since July 2020. He has contributed extensively to several research areas, such as nondestructive inspection and diagnostics, robotic and autonomous systems in MRO, advanced monitoring technologies, nondestructive testing on materials and structures using noninvasive imaging techniques, and aircraft systems monitoring. He has worked both in various academic and industrial environments, managing a growing and vibrant research portfolio. Nico also holds a professorship position with the title of professor associate at Universite Laval in Quebec, Canada, where he conducts a great deal of his research activities in collaboration with other organisations in Canada, including the National Research Council (NRC).
