It is of great practical significance to optimise the decision-making of cloud manufacturing service providers, which can ensure the efficient operation of the cloud manufacturing services. In order to effectively optimise, this paper constructs the evaluation index system, sorts out 7 important evaluation indexes. A method is proposed on the basis of the TOPSIS method and Grey Correlation Analysis (GRA), which is a decision-making method combining static distance and dynamic trend, and make the evaluation results more reasonable. In addition, in order to reflect the true weight of the high dimensional index, the evaluation model of projection pursuit index is established. The improved Particle Swarm Optimisation (PSO) algorithm is used to optimise the projection index function and model parameters, and to obtain the objective weights of evaluation indexes. Then the objective weights combine with the subjective weights obtained by the Analytic hierarchy process (AHP), which makes the weights of the evaluation indexes achieve the unity of subjective and objective. Finally, 20 sets of simulation examples are given to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.

To solve the problem of fuzzy classification of manufacturing resources in a cloud manufacturing environment, a hybrid algorithm based on genetic algorithm (GA), simulated annealing (SA) and fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm (FCM) is proposed. In this hybrid algorithm, classification is based on the processing feature and attributes of the manufacturing resource; the inner and outer layers of the nested loops are solving it, GA obtains the best classification number in the outer layer; the fitness function is constructed by fuzzy clustering algorithm (FCM), carrying out the selection, crossover and mutation operation and SA cooling operation. The final classification results are obtained in the inner layer. Using the hybrid algorithm to solve 45 kinds of manufacturing resources, the optimal classification number is 9 and the corresponding classification results are obtained, proving that the algorithm is effective.
As a new service-oriented manufacturing paradigm, cloud manufacturing (CMfg) realizes the optimal allocation of resources in the product manufacturing process through the network. Task decomposition is a key problem of the CMfg system for resource scheduling. A high-quality task decomposition method can shorten product development time, reduce costs for resource service providers, and provide technical support for the application of CMfg. However, a cloud manufacturing system has to manage the allocation the correct amount of manufacturing resources, complex production processes, and highly dynamic production environments. At the same time, the tasks issued by service demanders are usually asymmetric and tightly coupled. We solve the complex task decomposition problem by using the traditional methods, that are hard to complete in CMfg. To overcome the shortcomings of CMfg, this paper proposed a task decomposition method based on the cloud platform. For achieving modular production, this approach creatively divides the product production process into four stages: design, manufacturing, transportation, and maintenance. Then a hybrid method, which combines with depth-first search algorithm, fast modular optimization algorithm, and artificial bee colony algorithm, is introduced. The method can obtain a multi-stage task optimization decomposition plan in CMfg. Simulation results demonstrate the proposed method can achieve complex task optimization decomposition in a CMfg environment.

Bone mechanical properties vary with age; meanwhile, a close relationship exists among bone mechanical properties at different levels. Therefore, conducting multilevel analyses for bone structures with different ages are necessary to elucidate the effects of aging on bone mechanical properties at different levels. In this study, an approach that combined microfinite element (micro-FE) analysis and macrocompressive test was established to simulate the failure of male rat femoral cortical bone. Micro-FE analyses were primarily performed for rat cortical bones with different ages to simulate their failure processes under compressive load. Tissue-level failure strains in tension and compression of these cortical bones were then back-calculated by fitting the experimental stress–strain curves. Thus, tissue-level failure strains of rat femoral cortical bones with different ages were quantified. The tissue-level failure strain exhibited a biphasic behavior with age: in the period of skeletal maturity (1–7 months of age), the failure strain gradually increased; when the rat exceeded 7 months of age, the failure strain sharply decreased. In the period of skeletal maturity, both the macro- and tissue-levels mechanical properties showed a large promotion. In the period of skeletal aging (9–15 months of age), the tissue-level mechanical properties sharply deteriorated; however, the macromechanical properties only slightly deteriorated. The age-related changes in tissue-level failure strain were revealed through the analysis of male rat femoral cortical bones with different ages, which provided a theoretical basis to understand the relationship between rat cortical bone mechanical properties at macro- and tissue-levels and decrease of bone strength with age.
Aiming at the characteristics of NC machining simulation, the bounding box algorithm and detecting step by step are adopted. First, crudity detection is implemented, and many objects which do not obviously intersect are fleetly excluded; then, the further detection is carried out, this step further detects the objects which may be intersected, and check up the latent interference section from the intersecting objects; last, subtlety detection is performed, this step will judge if there is collision from detecting the state of basic elements (triangle element) of objects. The detection examples prove that the developed algorithm in this paper can guarantee the detection precise, improve detection efficiency, and satisfy the need of real-time of NC machining simulation
