D. in Environmental Engineering (FURB, 2022), M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC, 2007), and B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Regional University of Blumenau (FURB, 2003). Currently, he is a Full Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at FURB, where he has taught the following courses since 2010: Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, Textile Processes, Water and Wastewater Treatment, Unit Operations Laboratory, and Chemical Reactors. He also serves as a Full Professor in the Graduate Programs in Environmental Engineering and Chemical Engineering. His research focuses on textile processing (natural dyeing) and textile wastewater treatment (electrolytic processes and bioremediation by fungi and bacteria). He has extensive industrial experience, having worked for 26 years in the textile industry in R&D, Production, Quality Control, and Wastewater Treatment. Additionally, he spent 7 years in chemical companies in Technical Sales Consulting, focusing on the development and application of dyes, preparation, dyeing, and textile finishing auxiliaries, as well as chemical products for water and wastewater treatment. During his M.Sc., he worked on the development of chemical and biotechnological processes, applying at pilot and industrial scales a biological process for color removal from textile effluents.
