Operating systems and programmes are more protected these days and attackers have shifted their attention to human elements to break into the organisation's information systems. As the number and frequency of cyber-attacks designed to take advantage of unsuspecting personnel are increasing, the significance of the human factor in information security management cannot be understated. In order to counter cyber-attacks designed to exploit human factors in information security chain, information security awareness with an objective to reduce information security risks that occur due to human related vulnerabilities is paramount. This paper discusses and evaluates the effects of various information security awareness delivery methods used in improving end-users’ information security awareness and behaviour. There are a wide range of information security awareness delivery methods such as web-based training materials, contextual training and embedded training. In spite of efforts to increase information security awareness, research is scant regarding effective information security awareness delivery methods. To this end, this study focuses on determining the security awareness delivery method that is most successful in providing information security awareness and which delivery method is preferred by users. We conducted information security awareness using text-based, game-based and video-based delivery methods with the aim of determining user preferences. Our study suggests that a combined delivery methods are better than individual security awareness delivery method.

Music is a heavenly way of expressing feelings about the world. The language of music has vast diversity. For centuries, people have indulged in debates to stratisfy between Western and Indian Classical Music. But through this paper, an understanding can be fabricated while differentiating the types of Indian Classical Music. Classical music is one of the essential characteristics of Indian Cultural Heritage. Indian Classical Music is divided into two major parts, i.e. Hindustani and Carnatic. Models have been sculptured and trained to classify between Hindustani and Carnatic Music. In this paper, two approaches are used to implement classification models. MFCCs are used as features and implemented models like DNN (1 Layer, 2 Layers, 3 Layers), CNN (1 Layer, 2 Layers, 3 Layers), RNN-LSTM, SVM (Sigmoid, Polynomial & Gaussian Kernel) as one approach. A 3 channels input is created by merging features like MFCC, Spectrogram and Scalogram and implemented models like VGG-16, CNN (1 Layer, 2 Layers, 3 Layers), ResNet-50 as another approach. 3 Layered CNN and RNN-LSTM model performed best among all the approaches.

Cyberbullying (CB) has become increasingly prevalent in social media platforms. With the popularity and widespread use of social media by individuals of all ages, it is vital to make social media platforms safer from cyberbullying. This paper presents a hybrid deep learning model, called DEA-RNN, to detect CB on Twitter social media network. The proposed DEA-RNN model combines Elman type Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) with an optimized Dolphin Echolocation Algorithm (DEA) for fine-tuning the Elman RNN’s parameters and reducing training time. We evaluated DEA-RNN thoroughly utilizing a dataset of 10000 tweets and compared its performance to those of state-of-the-art algorithms such as Bi-directional long short term memory (Bi-LSTM), RNN, SVM, Multinomial Naive Bayes (MNB), Random Forests (RF). The experimental results show that DEA-RNN was found to be superior in all the scenarios. It outperformed the considered existing approaches in detecting CB on Twitter platform. DEA-RNN was more efficient in scenario 3, where it has achieved an average of 90.45% accuracy, 89.52% precision, 88.98% recall, 89.25% F1-score, and 90.94% specificity.

Authentication and Session Key Generation Protocols (SKGPs) play an essential role in securing the communication channels of connected Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Recently, through blockchain integration, scholars have tried to enhance the security and applicability of SKGPs. In brief, blockchain is a distributed ledger technology that can provide interesting features such as immutability, transparency, and accountability without any need for the active participation of trusted parties. This survey presents a comprehensive critical review of blockchain-assisted authentication and SKGPs, suggested for different IoT domains, including Internet of Vehicles, Internet of Drones, and Industrial IoT. Our survey categorizes existing schemes based on several criteria, including IoT application domains, security aspects, and blockchain components. By presenting an unbiased critical review and taxonomy of protocols, we aim to clarify the key challenges. Our review will specifically indicate what properties authors gained or lost through the integration of blockchain. To our best knowledge, this survey is the only one that offers all prerequisites for interested readers in blockchain-integrated SKGPs, such as security features and attacks, attack models, verification tools, blockchain types, blockchain platforms, and consensus mechanisms. Further, our survey elaborates existing research gaps in blockchain-assisted SKGPs. In doing so, we aim to guide future research in this field and provide researchers with the essential information they require.

The success of a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) deployment strongly depends on the quality of service (QoS) it provides regarding issues such as data accuracy, data aggregation delays and network lifetime maximisation. This is especially challenging in data fusion mechanisms, where a small fraction of low quality data in the fusion input may negatively impact the overall fusion result. In this paper, we present a fuzzy-based data fusion approach for WSN with the aim of increasing the QoS whilst reducing the energy consumption of the sensor network. The proposed approach is able to distinguish and aggregate only true values of the collected data as such, thus reducing the burden of processing the entire data at the base station (BS). It is also able to eliminate redundant data and consequently reduce energy consumption thus increasing the network lifetime. We studied the effectiveness of the proposed data fusion approach experimentally and compared it with two baseline approaches in terms of data collection, number of transferred data packets and energy consumption. The results of the experiments show that the proposed approach achieves better results than the baseline approaches.

With the increasing popularity of mobile edge computing (MEC) for processing intensive and delay sensitive IoT applications, the problem of high energy consumption of MEC has become a significant concern. Energy consumption prediction and monitoring of edge servers are crucial for reducing MEC’s carbon footprint in accordance with green computing and sustainable development. However, predicting energy consumption of edge servers is a nontrivial problem due to the fluctuation and variation of different loads. To address this problem, we propose ECMS, a new edge intelligent energy modeling approach that jointly adopts Elman Neural Network (ENN) and feature selection to optimize the consumption of energy on edge servers. ECMS considers 29 parameters relevant to edge server energy consumption and uses the ENN to develop an energy consumption model. Unlike other energy consumption models, ECMS can successfully deal with load fluctuation and various sorts of tasks, such as CPU-intensive, online transaction-intensive, and I/O-intensive. We have validated ECMS through extensive experiments and compared its performance in terms of accuracy and training time to several baseline approaches. The experimental results show the superiority of ECMS to the baseline models. We believe that the proposed model can be used by the MEC resource providers to forecast and optimize energy use.
