Jonas Matijošius was born in 1981 in Vilnius. He obtained his master's degree in engineering from the Faculty of Mechanics of the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Lithuania). In 2012, he obtained a PhD from the Faculty of Transport Engineering of the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Lithuania). Since 2007, he has been a Lecturer and Assoc. Professor of the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Lithuania), and is currently the chief research fellow and head of the Laboratory of Experimental Mechanics. He is the co-author of more than 100 articles. His main research topics include experimental mechanics, dynamics of the elements, alternative fuels, and alternative solutions for cleaning systems.
