Rachid Saadane is a full professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Hassania School of Public Works (EHTP). He earned B.Sc. (2001), M.S. (2003), and Ph.D. (2007) degrees from Mohamed V University, the latter in collaboration with the Eurecom Institute in France. From 2003 to 2006, he worked as a research engineer at Eurecom, specializing in radio frequency channel modeling. His research spans wireless communications, big data, signal and image processing, smart cities, IoT, and renewable energy applications. He is the head of the LaGeS laboratory at EHTP and has held this role since 2018. He also serves as the deputy director in charge of research, cooperation, and partnerships at EHTP. A recipient of the SCA'19 Award for best paper at the Smart Cities Applications Conference, he has authored over 190 publications and completed more than 400 peer reviews, demonstrating his active engagement in the academic community.
