This paper empirically examines the impact of female directors on corporate ESG disclosure scores based on upper echelons theory and women’s ethics of care theory by conducting a multiple regression analysis on 8193 observations of Chinese listed companies from 2010 to 2020. Our results demonstrate the importance of female directors’ participation in promoting corporate ESG practices. We conclude that the higher the proportion of female directors on the board, the higher the corporate ESG practice score. Further analysis also revealed that a favorable institutional environment and non-state enterprises positively moderate the relationship between female directors and corporate ESG practices. These results highlight the significant contribution of female directors to corporate ESG practices. Our paper sheds additional light on issues related to female directors and corporate ESG practices in Chinese listed companies, expands the theoretical knowledge of ethical decision-making and institutional environments in listed companies, enriches research in the area of female directors’ decision-making, and has important implications for corporate governance related policy-making in China.

The tourism shoppers’ purchasing behaviors have critical effects to economies, but there are few of comprehensive review that integrates and synthesis the finding of literature on tourism purchasing behavior systematic from past, present and future perspective. As the international tourists consuming volume have decreased in average, the purchasing behavior has changed into online, planned characters especially under the conflict from COVID 19, this paper tries to find the way to solve this problem for the tourism retailing industries development and the market demand. The methods of this paper is to use the theory of tourist classification and duty-free products classification for research shoppers’ sample identification and duty free products wish lists audition, customers purchasing methods is to analyze the gap, Citespace is used here to fill the gap with domain knowledge and visualize the finding of 150 papers on tourism purchasing behavior published from 2010 to 2020. The finding of this research is: i) Lotte, King Power, Dubai international duty free can be Asia representative research shops, Chinese international tourists can be the research target group; ii) Fragrances & cosmetic, wines & spirits, fashion & accessories and personal luxury goods can be selected as the 4 duty free products categories; iii) Chinese tourism shoppers have the purchasing gap between oversea and domestic products, both those kinds of products can be acquired online and offline; iv) Multiple emergent themes in the existing corpus, the theory of planned behavior and online communication are the key domain knowledge to fill this gap. So, a questionnaire is urgent to design based on this research result to find out the decision tree nodes and then compose the decision-making model for duty free industry and tourism shoppers effectively.

This paper proposes the use of Gaussian Process Regression to automatically identify relevant predictor variables in a formulation of a remaining useful life model for unmonitored, low value power network assets. Reclosers are used as a proxy for evaluating the efficacy of this method. Distribution network reclosers are typically high-volume assets without on-line monitoring, leading to an insufficient understanding of which factors drive their failures. The ubiquity of reclosers, and their lack of monitoring, prevents the tracking of their individual remaining life, and, confirms their use in validating the proposed process. As an alternative to monitoring, periodic inspection data is used to evaluate asset risk level, which is then used in a predictive model of remaining useful life. Inspection data is often variable in quality with a number of features missing from records. Accordingly, missing inputs are imputed by the proposed process using samples drawn from an advanced form of joint distribution learned from test records and reduced to its conditional form. This work is validated on operational data provided by a regional distribution network operator, but conceptually is applicable to unmonitored fleets of assets of any power network.
This study explores Chinese tourists' purchase intentions for personal luxury goods in Asia-Pacific duty-free shops using an integrated Affect Behavior Cognition (ABC) model of attitude, incorporating subjective norms. Factor analysis and K-means clustering were employed to segment the market based on demographics and purchasing behavior. Three distinct customer segments emerged: the ``All-Participation Group'' highly involved in all purchasing decision factors, focusing on product performance, price, and shopping convenience; the ``Product-Oriented Group'' prioritizing product performance and cost-effectiveness, with a preference for convenient search channels; and the ``Perceived Control & Promotion Group'' influenced by promotions, cautious about product damage, and favoring easy and secure purchasing channels. These findings offer actionable insights for duty-free shops to develop targeted marketing strategies tailored to each segment's needs and preferences. This study advances the academic understanding of customer behavior in the luxury goods market and provides practical implications for customer-centric marketing in the duty-free retail sector.

Regulatory permissiveness is widely prescribed as the primary institutional lever for digital asset adoption. This study challenges that prescription. Analyzing NFT and DeFi adoption across 105 countries using Principal Component Analysis (PCA)-constructed composite indices and multivariate Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression, we find that the Frontier Technology Readiness Index (FTRI) is the dominant structural correlate across all specifications, consistently outperforming competing explanatory variables. Regulatory environments neither independently explain adoption nor are associated with it linearly: both permissive and restrictive environments outperform mostly prohibited jurisdictions, suggesting that regulatory clarity rather than permissiveness is the operative institutional dimension. NFT and DeFi markets follow empirically distinct pathways: NFT adoption shows stronger associations with digital marketplace maturity while DeFi is more closely associated with technological infrastructure, suggesting that treating Web3 as a homogeneous policy category is unwarranted. National income conditions how effectively technological readiness is associated with adoption gains, with structural determinants exhibiting considerably reduced explanatory power in lower-middle-income economies. For policymakers, these findings reframe the debate: the primary structural correlate of digital asset adoption is technological capacity, not regulatory stance, and below a development threshold, neither intervention is reliably associated with adoption gains.
