Boyu Qin is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Electrical Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University. He received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2011 and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2016. His main research interests include power system stability analysis and control, integrated energy systems, power system planning and operation, energy policy and low carbon economy, energy storage technologies, and MMC-HVDC transmission systems. He is the author of about 60 journal and conference papers indexed by SCI/EI and holds more than 10 invention patents. A recipient of the Second Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific and Technological Research of Shaanxi Universities, he received the Excellent Paper Award three times at international academic conferences. He has served as an active reviewer for several IEEE Transactions, IET series, and other international journals, and as a youth assistant editor of Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems.
