Professor Huichao Deng received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in electrical engineering, a Master of Engineering degree in control science, and a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2008, 2010, and 2015, respectively. From 2010 to 2011, she was a visiting scholar with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA. From 2019 to 2020, she was a visiting scholar with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA. She is currently a professor with the Robotics Institute, Beihang University, Beijing, China. Her main research interests include robotics (in particular, flapping-wing micro air vehicles and multi-functional flying robots), biomimetic design, MEMS, and micro-energy.
