Dr. Ana M Gil obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of East Anglia, UK, in 1992. Dr. Ana M Gil is currently an Associate Professor with Habilitation at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, and a member of the CICECO-Aveiro Institute of Materials. Her main research interests are centered on NMR metabolomics, applied to biological systems (biofluids, intact tissue, tissue/material systems, and 2D/3D cell cultures) subjected to disease and therapeutics (cancer and prenatal diseases) and stem cell differentiation cues, for the identification of novel biomarkers with possible clinical use.
