Zhen Huang is an associate professor at
the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture and deputy director of the
Department of Geotechnical and Underground Engineering at Guangxi University.
He is mainly engaged in the research of disaster reduction mechanisms and
prevention and control strategies for urban underground engineering, health
diagnosis methods, and maintenance and reinforcement of tunnel structures, as well as the
research, development, and application of tunnel functional materials. From
2019 to 2022, he served as deputy director and assistant professor/lecturer in
the Department of Geotechnical and Underground Engineering, School of Civil
Engineering and Architecture, Guangxi University, and was promoted to associate
professor in 2022. He has presided over and participated in projects such as
the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Key Laboratory Project,
the Guangxi Major Project, the Guangxi Key R&D Project, the Guangxi Natural
Science Foundation, and the Guangxi Talent Special Fund. He has been granted six
national invention patents, and related achievements have won a first prize and
four second prizes in provincial and ministerial science and technology awards and
social power awards. He was awarded the title of “Outstanding Talent in Science
and Technology Innovation” in the 5th National Underground Space Innovation
Competition.
