I am in the early stages of my career. I began my independent research program, focusing on Zika virus (ZIKV) infection-induced placental damage and fetal complications. My research achievements include 42 peer-reviewed publications; these articles were cited in more than 1800 documents, including editorial comments. The Natarajan Laboratory has identified a nutrient compound that protects against Zika virus-induced placental trophoblast apoptosis.
