As a major challenge and opportunity for traditional manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing is facing the needs of sustainable development in future. Sustainability assessment undoubtedly plays a pivotal role for future development of intelligent manufacturing. Aiming at this, the paper presents the digital twin driven information architecture of sustainability assessment oriented for dynamic evolution under the whole life cycle based on the classic digital twin mapping system. The sustainability assessment method segment of the architecture includes indicator system building, indicator value determination, indicator importance degree determination and intelligent manufacturing project assessing. A novel approach for treating the ambiguity of expert’ judgment in indicator value determination by introducing trapezoidal fuzzy number into analytic hierarchy process is proposed, while the complexity of the influence relationship among the indicators is processed by the integration of complex networks modeling and PROMETHEE II for the indicator importance degree determination. A two-stage evidence combination model based on evidence theory is built for intelligent manufacturing project assessing lastly. The presented digital-twin-driven information architecture and the sustainability assessment method is tested and validated on a study of sustainability assessment of 8 intelligent manufacturing projects of an air conditioning enterprise. The results of the presented method were validated by comparing them with the results of the fuzzy and rough extension of the PROMETHEE II, TOPSIS and VIKOR methods, indicator importance degree determining method by entropy and indicator value determining method by accurate expert scoring.
Product-service system (PSS) is an effective solution for service-oriented manufacturing. In the life cycle of PSS, evaluation decision of PSS alternatives is of great significance for subsequent implementation. Supported by the big data of stakeholder comments, a PSS evaluation decision technique is explored. Based on the multi-stakeholder comments of PSS evaluation decision’s influence factors, the index system considering the environmental effect is constructed through analyzing and summarizing the co-occurrence matrix and semantic network diagram of high-frequency words. To determine the index value of PSS alternative, the stakeholders’ vague opinions expressed by trapezoidal fuzzy number are fused. At last, PSS alternatives are evaluated by Kullback-Leibler divergence (KLD) modified TOPSIS. The case of PSS evaluation decision for a printer company shows that the explored technique is effective.
Annual power load forecasting is not only the premise of formulating reasonable macro power planning, but also an important guarantee for the safety and economic operation of power system. In view of the characteristics of annual power load forecasting, the grey model of GM (1,1) are widely applied. Introducing buffer operator into GM (1,1) to pre-process the historical annual power load data is an approach to improve the forecasting accuracy. To solve the problem of nonadjustable action intensity of traditional weakening buffer operator, variable-weight weakening buffer operator (VWWBO) and background value optimization (BVO) are used to dynamically pre-process the historical annual power load data and a VWWBO-BVO-based GM (1,1) is proposed. To find the optimal value of variable-weight buffer coefficient and background value weight generating coefficient of the proposed model, grey relational analysis (GRA) and improved gravitational search algorithm (IGSA) are integrated and a GRA-IGSA integration algorithm is constructed aiming to maximize the grey relativity between simulating value sequence and actual value sequence. By the adjustable action intensity of buffer operator, the proposed model optimized by GRA-IGSA integration algorithm can obtain a better forecasting accuracy which is demonstrated by the case studies and can provide an optimized solution for annual power load forecasting.
Within the context of increasingly serious global environmental problems, green supplier assessment has become one of the key links in modern green supply chain management. In the actual work of green supplier assessment, the information of potential suppliers is often ambiguous or even absent, and there are interrelationships and feedback-like effects among assessment indexes. Additionally, the thinking of experts in index importance judgment is always ambiguous and subjective. To handle the uncertainty and incompleteness in green supplier assessment, we propose a green supplier assessment method based on rough ANP and evidence theory. The uncertain index value is processed by membership degree. Trapezoidal fuzzy number is adopted to express experts’ judgment on the relative importance of the indexes, and rough boundary interval is used to integrate the judgment opinions of multiple experts. The ANP structure is built to deal with the interrelationship and feedback-like effects among indexes. Then, the index weight is calculated by ANP method. Finally, the green suppliers are assessed by a trust interval, based on evidence theory. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by an application of a bearing cage supplier assessment.

Product‐service system (PSS) solution selection is of great significance to better meet the personalised needs of customers and ensure the subsequent implementation. The problems of incomplete index system, difficulty to obtain the value of the qualitative index and unreasonable single index weighting have a significant impact on the decision‐making of PSS solution selection. In response to these problems, a decision‐making framework of PSS solution selection is constructed. A comprehensive index system is established from the perspectives of multiple stakeholders. Expert evaluating with the fuzzy number and multi‐expert evaluation opinion combination is adopted for index value solving. Integration of objective and subjective weights is achieved based on the multi‐weight information consistency model and the candidate PSS solutions are ranked by technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution finally. An application case of automobile PSS solution selection is given to verify the effectiveness and rationality of the constructed decision‐making framework.

Parts supplier selection (PSS) is an important part of supply chain management of manufacturing enterprise. In the PSS process, the values of evaluation indicators are often uncertain and incomplete and the importance degrees of evaluation indicators are often instable. To solve this problem, a PSS framework of manufacturing enterprise based on D-S evidence theory is proposed. The indicator system for PSS is established, and the indicators are divided into three categories: quantitative, comprehensive qualitative and direct qualitative. The initial indicator values are processed by membership grade method to obtain the tendency degree. A two-order weighted D-S evidence theory model is constructed to evaluate the screened candidate suppliers. A manufacturing enterprise application case is given finally to illustrate the correctness and feasibility of the proposed framework.
