In order to realize the accurate and reliable prediction of the change trend of dissolved oxygen (DO) content in California perch aquaculture water, this paper proposes a second-order hybrid optimization support vector machine (SVR) model based on Differential Evolution (DE) and Gray Wolf Optimizer (GWO), shortened to DE-GWO-SVR, to predict the DO content with the characteristics of nonlinear and non-smooth water quality data. Experimentally, data for the water quality, including pH, water temperature, conductivity, salinity, total dissolved solids, and DO, were collected. Pearson’s correlation coefficient (PPMCC) was applied to explore the correlation between each water quality parameter and DO content. The optimal DE-GWO-SVR model was established and compared with models based on SVR, back-propagation neural network (BPNN), and their optimization models. The results show that the DE-GWO-SVR model proposed in this paper can effectively realize the nonlinear prediction and global optimization performance. Its R2, MSE, MAE and RMSE can be up to 0.94, 0.108, 0.2629, and 0.3293, respectively, which is better than those of other models. This research provides guidance for the efficient prediction of DO in perch aquaculture water bodies for increasing the aquaculture effectiveness and reducing the aquaculture risk, providing a new exploratory path for water quality monitoring.

To investigate the mechanism of aquatic pathogens in quorum sensing (QS) and decode the signal transmission of aquatic Gram-negative pathogens, this paper proposes a novel method for the intelligent matching identification of eight quorum signaling molecules (N-acyl-homoserine lactones, AHLs) with similar molecular structures, using terahertz (THz) spectroscopy combined with molecular dynamics simulation and spectral similarity calculation. The THz fingerprint absorption spectral peaks of the eight AHLs were identified, attributed, and resolved using the density functional theory (DFT) for molecular dynamics simulation. To reduce the computational complexity of matching recognition, spectra with high peak matching values with the target were preliminarily selected, based on the peak position features of AHL samples. A comprehensive similarity calculation (CSC) method using a weighted improved Jaccard similarity algorithm (IJS) and discrete Fréchet distance algorithm (DFD) is proposed to calculate the similarity between the selected spectra and the targets, as well as to return the matching result with the highest accuracy. The results show that all AHL molecular types can be correctly identified, and the average quantization accuracy of CSC is 98.48%. This study provides a theoretical and data-supported foundation for the identification of AHLs, based on THz spectroscopy, and offers a new method for the high-throughput and automatic identification of AHLs.

The electrical penetration graph (EPG) technique is of great significance in elucidating the mechanisms of virus transmission by piercing-sucking insects and crop resistance to these insects. The traditional method of manually processing EPG signals encounters the drawbacks of inefficiency and subjectivity. This study investigated the data augmentation and automatic identification of various EPG signals, including A, B, C, PD, E1, E2, and G, which correspond to distinct behaviors exhibited by the Asian citrus psyllid. Specifically, a data augmentation method based on an improved deep convolutional generative adversarial network (DCGAN) was proposed to address the challenge of insufficient E1 waveforms. A multi-criteria evaluation framework was constructed, leveraging maximum mean discrepancy (MMD) to evaluate the similarity between the generated and real data, and singular value decomposition (SVD) was incorporated to optimize the training iterations of DCGAN and ensure data diversity. Four models, convolutional neural network (CNN), K-nearest neighbors (KNN), decision tree (DT), and support vector machine (SVM), were established based on DCGAN to classify the EPG waveforms. The results showed that the parameter-optimized DCGAN strategy significantly improved the model accuracies by 5.8%, 6.9%, 7.1%, and 7.9% for DT, SVM, KNN, and CNN, respectively. Notably, DCGAN-CNN effectively addressed the skewed distribution of EPG waveforms, achieving an optimal classification accuracy of 94.13%. The multi-criteria optimized DCGAN-CNN model proposed in this study enables reliable augmentation and precise automatic identification of EPG waveforms, holding significant practical implications for understanding psyllid behavior and controlling citrus huanglongbing.
