This paper proposes two algorithms that are based on a subgradient and an inertial scheme with the explicit iterative method for solving pseudomonotone equilibrium problems. The weak convergence of both algorithms is well-established under standard assumptions on the cost bifunction. The advantage of these algorithms is that they did not require any line search procedure or any knowledge about bifunction Lipschitz-type constants for step-size evaluation. A practical explanation of this is that they use a sequence of step-size that are revised at each iteration based on some previous iteration. For a numerical experiment, we consider a well-known Nash-Cournot equilibrium model of electricity markets and also other test problems to assist the well-established convergence results and be able to see that our proposed algorithms have a competitive advantage over the time of execution and the number of iterations.
Sedghi et al. (Mat. Vesn. 64(3):258-266, 2012) introduced the notion of a S-metric as a generalized metric in 3-tuples $S:X^{3} \rightarrow[0,\infty)$ , where X is a nonempty set. The aim of this paper is to introduce the concept of an n-tuple metric $A: X^{n} \rightarrow[0,\infty)$ and to study its basic topological properties. We also prove some generalized coupled common fixed point theorems for mixed weakly monotone maps in partially ordered A-metric spaces. Some examples are presented to support the results proved herein. Our results generalize and extend various results in the existing literature.

The aim of this paper is to present common fixed point results of quasi-weak commutative mappings on a closed ball in the framework of multiplicative metric spaces. Example is presented to support the result proved herein. We also study sufficient conditions for the existence of a common solution of multiplicative boundary value problem. Our results extend and improve various recent results in the existing literature.

In this paper, we introduce the notion of cyclic R-contraction mapping and then study the existence of fixed points for such mappings in the framework of metric spaces. Examples and application are presented to support the main result. Our result unify, complement, and generalize various comparable results in the existing literature.

Van Quy (Optimization 68(4):753–771, 2018) established an extragradient–CQ algorithm for solving a class of bilevel split equilibrium problem. The step-size in the algorithm requires computation of a certain matrix norm which is costly. Moreover, bilevel problems often possess huge number of constraints and possibly require a robust and adaptive step-size algorithm to withstand failure in instances of real-world problems with large data sizes. In this paper, we propose a self-adaptive step-size extragradient–CQ algorithm for solving the same problem without prior knowledge of operator norm and provide a numerical example to demonstrate the effectiveness of our method.

He (J. Inequal. Appl. 2012:Article ID 162 2012) introduced the proximal point CQ algorithm (PPCQ) for solving the split equilibrium problem (SEP). However, the PPCQ converges weakly to a solution of the SEP and is restricted to monotone bifunctions. In addition, the step-size used in the PPCQ is a fixed constant μ in the interval $(0, \frac{1}{ \| A \|^{2} } )$ . This often leads to excessive numerical computation in each iteration, which may affect the applicability of the PPCQ. In order to overcome these intrinsic drawbacks, we propose a robust step-size $\{ \mu _{n} \}_{n=1}^{\infty }$ which does not require computation of $\| A \|$ and apply the adaptive step-size rule on $\{ \mu _{n} \}_{n=1}^{\infty }$ in such a way that it adjusts itself in accordance with the movement of associated components of the algorithm in each iteration. Then, we introduce a self-adaptive extragradient-CQ algorithm (SECQ) for solving the SEP and prove that our proposed SECQ converges strongly to a solution of the SEP with more general pseudomonotone equilibrium bifunctions. Finally, we present a preliminary numerical test to demonstrate that our SECQ outperforms the PPCQ.
