Lee Chien Te is Professor in the Division of Nephrology, Department of Internal Medicine, at Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Since 2016, he has also been Vice Superintendent of this hospital. He received his MD from Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan, in 1988, and his PhD from the Graduate Institute of Medicine at Kaohsiung Medical University in 2006. His thesis examined the molecular mechanism of calcium and magnesium transport by the renal distal tubule.
