This study presents a bibliometric review aimed at mapping and analyzing the scientific literature related to the ethical implications of artificial intelligence (AI) in livestock farming, which is a rapidly emerging yet still underexplored field in international research. Based on the Scopus database, 151 documents published between 2015 and 2025 were identified and analyzed using the VOSviewer version 1.6.20 and Biblioshiny for Bibliometrix (RStudio version 2023.12.1) tools. The results show a significant increase in publications from 2021 onwards, reflecting the growing maturity of discussions around the integration of digital technologies in the agricultural sector. Keyword co-occurrence and bibliographic coupling analyses revealed the formation of four main thematic clusters, covering technical applications in precision livestock farming as well as reflections on governance, animal welfare, and algorithmic justice. The most influential authors, high-impact journals, and leading countries in the field were also identified. As a key contribution, this study highlights the lack of robust ethical guidelines and proposes future research directions for the development of regulatory frameworks, codes of conduct, and interdisciplinary approaches. The findings underscore the importance of aligning technological innovation with ethical responsibility and social inclusion in the transition to digital livestock farming.

Purpose: Evaluate the use of BIM technology in estimating RCC (Civil Construction Waste) in the design phase of residences. Theoretical Framework: BIM (Building Information Modeling) has been considered an essential technology and has been gaining notoriety on the world stage in the area of construction and demolition waste management due to its compatibility with other advanced technologies. It presents itself as a viable alternative to reduce costs and waste in construction conglomerates by increasing transparency in the life cycle of civil construction projects. Method/Design/approach: In the development of this study, a methodological structure with characteristics of a case study was used. The study was classified as descriptive due to the need to gather information on indicators of loss of materials related to RCC and methods of using BIM in order to estimate the amount of construction waste. As for the methodological procedures, it was characterized as bibliographic and simulation. Results and conclution: BIM modeling proved to be efficient in making an initial prediction of the volume of waste generated in the construction stage of single-family units. Therefore, it is undoubtedly a useful tool for engineers, technicians and managers to think properly about solid waste management. In the future, it is necessary for researchers, representatives of civil society, public agencies and industry to unite so that real estate projects are implemented following the tripod of sustainability, as advocated by the UN Sustainable Development Goals.   Research implications: The results of this work are of great relevance for the sustainable development not only of the municipality of Garanhuns, but of the entire rural region of Pernambuco, since most municipalities in the region do not have their own Solid Waste Management Plan, which is one of the documents indicated by the National Solid Waste Plan (PNRS) to be prepared and used by municipalities, and which can be created according to the needs of each reality. It is important to point out that if they do not follow the PNRS recommendations, they may be left without financial incentives from the Union. Furthermore, through this work, the aim is to popularize BIM modeling with public bodies, since the use of such technology has become will become mandatory in public works, as recommended by the BIM BR Strategy. Originality/value: By using BIM modeling in undertakings from the Minha casa Minha vida program, it is expected to contribute in a relevant way to the problem that arises, because if on the one hand there is a real estate deficit, mainly affecting families in social vulnerability, on the other , it is imperative that such urban expansion occurs in a sustainable manner, as advocated by ONU Sustainable Development Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).

The management of thermal environments in animal production facilities presents significant challenges, requiring continuous adjustments to meet animals’ physiological needs. This study evaluated the effects of green roofs on the thermal environment and comfort indices in small-scale poultry house prototypes, comparing facilities with and without green roof installations. The research tested various roof types (ceramic, fiber cement, and metal) combined with emerald grass (Zoysia japonica) green roof systems. Parameters measured included air temperature, relative humidity, internal roof surface temperature, Temperature and Humidity Index (THI), Black Globe Humidity Index (BGHI), Human Comfort Index (HCI), and Thermal Radiation Load (TRL) under both open and closed conditions. Results showed that green roofs reduced indoor air temperature by up to 2.4 °C in open prototypes and 10.6 °C in closed prototypes during peak heat periods. In combinations using green roofs with fiber cement tiles, internal roof surface temperature decreased by 24.0 °C in open prototypes and 27.0 °C in closed configurations. The implementation of green roofs resulted in THI reductions of 2.3 and 8.1 units in open and closed prototypes, respectively, BGHI decreases of 2.8 and 11.3 units, and TRL reductions of 21.0 W/m2 and 74.0 W/m2. HCI measurements confirmed improved thermal comfort conditions with green roof installations in both settings. This study concludes that green roofs effectively enhance the thermal environment by reducing bioclimatic indices during hot periods while maintaining stable conditions during cooler weather, thereby improving overall thermal comfort in animal facilities.

This research aimed to analyze the degradation of the Vila Maria spring, located in the Magano neighborhood in the municipality of Garanhuns in the state of Pernambuco. The municipality’s terrain is marked by undulated landform, especially hills, which allied to the accelerated rhythm of urban expansion without adequate planning, resulted in the occupation of risk areas such as slopes as well as environmental protection areas such as the adjacencies of springs. The analysis was carried out through a terrain modeling process in a geoprocessing environment and by data collected on visits to the study area. An analysis of the region’s NDVI from years 2008 to 2018 was also performed. The analysis confirmed the Vila Maria spring’s water degradation and found that it was aggravated by an inadequate disposal of rainwater through surface water drains which contributed to the intensification of erosive processes that generated a gully in the vicinity. The NDVI analysis found low average values with an increase from 2008 to 2018 during the wet season. This fact can be explained by the constant urban expansion which as has been utilizing slopes from the microbasin for the disposal of rainwater which allied to the constant flow of the Vila Maria spring, provides a constant supply of water to the vegetation cover. Moreover, it was possible to observe the misuse of the spring’s water flow by the public administration which has most of its flow integrated to the surface water drainage system and it is disposed at the bottom of the slope going through a high risk of contamination.
