Abdurrahman Shuaibu Hassan obtained his Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical Electronics Engineering Science, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. His research interests include, but are not limited to, power generation efficiency, distributed generation (DG), renewable energy (RE), smart grid (SG) integration, IoT, IoE, artificial intelligence, machine learning Algorithm and neural networks.
As a postdoctoral research fellow at the Electrical and Telecommunication Lab of Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) and a senior research associate at the University of Johannesburg (UJ), Dr. Abdurrahman Shuaibu Hassan is advancing the field of green communication systems for smart grid networks. He is applying his Ph.D. in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering, which he obtained from UJ in 2021, to develop mathematical models and machine learning algorithms that optimize the power generation efficiency and security of smart grids.
His research, funded by multiple grants and awards, has resulted in several peer-reviewed journals and conference papers, as well as a patent application. He has also shared his knowledge and passion for electrical engineering as a lecturer at various universities in Nigeria, India, and Uganda. He is a registered engineer in Nigeria and a member of the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE). His research interests include internet of things, internet of energies, and ubiquitous access networks.
