I am a Petroleum Engineer with a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), Colombia, and a Ph.D. in Process Engineering with a focus on Petroleum Engineering from the University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour, France. I am currently the Director of Postgraduate Programs at UIS and a Full Professor at the School of Petroleum Engineering. I previously served as the Postgraduate Programs Coordinator of the School of Petroleum Engineering. Since joining UIS in 2006, I have supervised numerous postgraduate and undergraduate research projects, collaborated on various research and extension initiatives, and authored multiple technical articles. I serve as Editor of Fuentes El Reventón Energético, lead the Hydrocarbon Process Modeling Research Group, and act as a peer reviewer for Minciencias and several national and international journals.
