Dr. Alessandro Pinto is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Food Science and Human Nutrition (Experimental Medicine Department), at the University of Rome La Sapienza. From 2011–2016 he was Vice President of the Degree Course in Dietetics. He also serves as the Deputy Head and member of the Council of the School of Specialization in Food Science at Sapienza University of Rome. He is a member of the Italian Society of Human Nutrition and the Italian Society of Surgery for Obesity and Metabolic Diseases. He has collaborated with working groups: SINU-INRAN for the fourth revision of the LARN—Reference Intake Levels of Nutrients and Energy for the Italian population (2012 Revision).
