This manuscript aims to familiarise readers with the development of a device for the construction of a mobile disinfection chamber for small communication devices and small objects. The conceptual design and the material of the new device play essential roles in the design process of a new device. The manuscript presents concepts based primarily on previous experience and different perspectives. The concept design is created in the 3D modelling program CREO Parametric 8.0. A multi-criteria team evaluation determined the most suitable version of the idea. For dimensioning and shape adaptation of the device was used EinScan SP device (3D scanning method). The article's aim was also to establish a suitable way of producing a prototype using tribological research in available production methods and materials within rapid prototyping. Using the ALICONA Infinite Focus G5 device, experimentally investigated the parameters characterising the surface of the parts. The end of the manuscript focused on the mechanical structure and subjecting them to FEM analysis in the program ANSYS Workbench. The design of the concept disinfection device was also for extreme cases of use. Within this issue was optimising shapes, wall thicknesses, reinforcement design and other necessary modifications using the FEM analysis. From the results, the most suitable material to produce a more significant number of parts may not be the most suitable material to create prototype devices. Tools such as 3D scanning, rapid prototyping, and FEM analysis can "significantly" help reduce mistakes before testing the device.

Research and development help improve the reliability of EVs range, battery capacity, and trouble-free charging (or service). These factors affect consumers’ interest in EVs. The quality of EV use can be supported by a modern technology called Energy Assistant (EA). The task of EA is to inform the driver about the current range, the necessity to recharge the batteries, and so on to avoid a critical situation. The main aim of this article was to investigate factors and input parameters for the proposal of EA. The Edison EV designed at the University of Žilina, was used for experimental work under real conditions and in an accredited lab with MAHA equipment.

Decrease of vehicle emissions require design changes already at the initial concept design. Use of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composites in design cause reduction of weight with increasing other properties. Paper presents the case study of proposal material for frame concept of special light vehicle design. The flexural test (basically three-point bending test) of carbon fiber reinforced polymer composite bars with annular and square cross section is presented. Experimental results were verified by numerical simulation finite element method (FEM). The permanent deformation of bar with annular cross section occurred at a force 2 280 N with deflection 4.22 mm. Model numerical simulation by FEM show same course of loading. For bar with square cross section the deformation occurred at a force 2 264 N, with deflection 7 mm. Model numerical simulation by FEM show different trend (under force 2264 N the deflection was 3.4 mm). The research was supported by the Slovak Research and Development Agency under the contract no. APVV-18-0457, Special Light Electric Vehicle from Unconventional Materials to Heavy Conditions and Terrain – LEV.

The international standard STN EN ISO 21920-1 specifies the rules and methodology for marking the character of the surface profile by profile methods in the technical documentation of the product using graphic marks. The aim of the article is to familiarize the public with the content of the standard included in the Geometrical Product Specification (GPS) system. The changes in the area of default settings concern the introduction of new rules for acceptance of tolerance. The rules determine how the tolerance limits are applied to the measured values of the parameters. The introduced changes benefit the majority of users for prescribing, manufacturing and checking product requirements.
