Prof. Eunsung Kan is an Associate Professor at Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at Texas A&M University. He earned a Ph.D. in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from the University of California. He won an “Outstanding Research Project in 2008” at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. His research interests include the production of biofuels, bioproducts, and biomaterials from dairy and agricultural wastes, removal of contaminants (i.e., nitrogen, phosphorus, and antibiotics) from dairy and agricultural wastewater, reuse of wastewater for farm irrigation and energy production, and the capture and conversion of greenhouse gases to valuable products.
