Dr. Yingang Gui currently serves as a Professor at the College of Engineering and Technology, Southwest University, Chongqing, China. He obtained a doctorate in electrical engineering from the School of Electrical Engineering of Chongqing University in 2017 and jointly trained a doctorate with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (Sensors and Intelligent Systems Laboratory) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States (October 2015 to September 2016). In recent years, he has presided over more than 10 scientific and technological projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Chongqing Natural Science Foundation of China, the Fundamental Research Funds for Central Universities Key Project, etc. Dr. Gui has published more than 60 SCI-indexed papers in famous journals such as Nano Energy, Sensors and Actuators B, High Voltage, and IEEE Sensors Journal, participated in the publication of 1 English monograph, and applied for 7 national invention patents. He is also a senior member of the China Electrotechnical Society and a member of the China Electrical Engineering Society. His main research areas include micro-nano manufacturing and advanced sensing technology, intelligent detection technology, electrical equipment insulation online monitoring, and fault diagnosis and evaluation.
