María José Bastante-Ceca obtained her PhD in Innovation and Engineering Projects from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), Spain in July 2006. Previously she obtained her degree in Agronomical Engineering in July 1997, and her degree in Environmental Sciences in October 2000. In 2002, she began her career as a researcher at Department of Engineering Projects from UPV, where she became a teacher in October 2003, teaching subjects related to environmental impact assessment, eco-design, carbon footprint and life cycle assessment, among others. In 2012, she was appointed as Assistant Director for the Research of Department being in this position until December 2020. Certified as a Project Manager Associate, IPMA Level D, from 2012, and belong to Board of Spanish Association of Project Management and Engineering since July 2012 to July 2020. She has taught courses about environmental issues and has been invited to give some talks, among others, by the Universidad Metropolitana de Caracas, the Universidad de Los Andes, the Universidad Santo Tomás de Bucaramanga (Colombia), the Universidad de Piura (Perú), and recently by the Universidad Central del Este (Republica Dominicana).
