Dr. Xian Zhang is an Associate Professor at the Xiangya School of Public Health, Central South University. He obtained his M.Sc degree and Ph.D. degrees in microbiology at Central South University in Changsha, China, in 2014 and 2017, respectively. He has long been devoted to the health effect and biological control of environmental pollution, with a specific focus on microbial remediation of organic pollution in water bodies and heavy metal pollution in the soil, human microbiome, and health. As of now, he has at least one scientific project, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and over 20 SCI papers that have been published in international authoritative journals, such as Water Research, Science of the Total Environment, BMC Genomics, and Applied Soil Ecology. In addition, he is the invited reviewer of many internationally renowned journals, such as ISME Journal, Environmental Science & Technology, Journal of Hazardous Materials, and Environment International.
