Environmental fines compel corporations to strengthen compliance, adopt sustainable practices, and integrate eco-innovation. This enhances legitimacy, reduces risks, and supports long-term sustainable performance across industries. Despite this importance, its effect on corporate sustainability performance (CSP) and the moderating roles of corporate governance quality, firm size, and institutional ownership remain underexplored, creating significant knowledge gaps. This study applied stakeholder and institutional theory to address these gaps, using data from 187 non-financial firms listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange between 2006 and 2024, obtained from Thomson Reuters Eikon DataStream. Three advanced estimation models—augmented mean group (AMG), common correlated effects mean group (CCEMG), and generalized method of moments (GMM)—were employed. Findings indicate that environmental fines have a positive and significant effect on CSP. Moreover, the moderating effects of governance quality, firm size, and institutional ownership also positively and significantly influence CSP. Strong governance enables firms to transform fines into strategic opportunities, driving sustainability investments, improving risk management, and fostering accountability that aligns operations with regulatory and stakeholder expectations.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the impact of perceived value and academic entitlement on the online engagement of university students. The mediating effect of technostress inhibitor and teacher behavior between perceived value, entitlement and student engagement was also examined. The study used a quantitative research methodology, with data collected through a survey of 304 undergraduate students from a public university in Bahrain. The findings showed that perceived value and academic entitlement were significant predictors of online student engagement. At the same time, only technostress inhibitor was found to mediate those associations. An unexpected result was entitlement's positive and significant impact on student engagement. University decision-makers are strongly advised to enhance perceived value and support mechanisms for engagement, address technology-related concerns and improve teacher capacity and students' online learning experience. The study makes a distinct contribution by investigating how perceived value, academic entitlement, technostress inhibitors and teacher behavior influence student engagement in the online higher education context.

Developing nations, such as the Southern African nations, fail to achieve environmental sustainability because of bad governance and high levels of corruption. The misallocation and misuse of resources and green finance worsen environmental problems in such nations; hence, there is a need for correct policy reforms and improvements in institutional quality if the green transition is to be achieved. However, the literature lacks sound empirical evidence that could unlock this problem and direct us to the adoption of relevant policies. This research is an attempt to examine the role of institutional quality and green financial technology in promoting sustainable environments in Southern African nations with high environmental problems. Therefore, data from the seven Southern African nations from 2000 to 2022 are employed in the analysis. The research model is analyzed with the ‘Methods of Moments Quantile Regression’, which overcomes panel data-related problems such as ‘heterogeneity’ and ‘cross-sectional dependence’. The key findings of this research indicate the symmetric positive influence of institutional quality, green finance and renewable energy in supporting environmental sustainability. Additionally, financial development supports environmental sustainability, but its influence is asymmetric, where positive significant influence is in the lower quantile and weak negative effect in the top quantile. Nonetheless, technological innovation worsens environmental sustainability in the Southern African nations, calling for the need to leapfrog to cleaner technologies that have been adopted in developed nations.

The research delves into the connection between green finance, the digital economy, and energy consumption in ten (10) MENA region countries over a 40-year period, from 1983 to 2023. The research used panel-corrected standard errors (PCSE) estimators to get rid of cross-sectional dependence and heteroscedasticity. According to the findings, the digital economy mainly contributes to cutting energy consumption, whereas green finance has a positive association which is likely due to the rebound effects and the embedded energy costs of green infrastructures. The control variables such as trade openness, technological innovation, and industrial structure are linked in a positive way to higher energy consumption. The findings imply a policy approach that has these two sectors as its main focus, in addition to emphases on digitalization for more efficient operation and green finance for the fostering of the transition of energy sources in the region.

Wine tourism is a key segment of the global tourism industry, offering visitors opportunities to explore vineyards, taste wines, and experience cultural heritage. This study examines online reviews to identify positive and negative themes of wine tourism experiences and explores how perceptions vary among traveler types. Data were collected from 2850 TripAdvisor reviews of wineries in Bordeaux, Champagne, and Burgundy, France, and analyzed using Leximancer software. The findings reveal seven key themes, including Wine Quality, Tasting Experiences, Tour Guides, Vineyard Views, and Cultural Charm, alongside Dissatisfaction with Time Management and Value for Money. Variations among traveler types highlight distinct preferences, with solo travelers valuing education, couples prioritizing romance, groups focusing on culture, and families concerned with organization. This study contributes to research on experiential tourism by addressing diverse visitor expectations and enhancing service quality.

Health tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors in both health and tourism. Mediterranean region could be named as the heart of health tourism as it is the center of three continents and the cradle of cultural heritage, with an additional advantage of mild weather. Turkey, Israel and North Cyprus are three countries in the region with a potential to significantly improve their success in health tourism sector. The aim of this study is to investigate the current situation, strengths and weaknesses of these three countries; and, to provide possible strategies for North Cyprus to enter the global market.
