The aim of the study is to examine the effect of social media addiction levels of university students on virtual environment loneliness levels. The sample of the study consists of 379 university students selected by purposeful sampling method studying in the TRNC in the 2021-2022 academic year. In the study, Socio-Demographic Information Form, Social Media Addiction Scale and Virtual Environment Loneliness Scale were used as data collection tools. In the study, it was concluded that there was a positive and moderately significant relationship between social media addiction and virtual environment loneliness level. In the study, it was revealed that variables such as gender, department of education and place of residence did not affect the level of social media addiction. Duration of social media usage and memberships to virtual dating sites have been found to have an effect on the level of virtual environment loneliness. Participants who spend 2-3 or more hours on social media and had memberships to virtual dating sites had higher levels of virtual environment loneliness than other participants. Also, it will be useful to investigate the methods of combating social media addiction and its psychological effects on students.

The research delves into the connection between green finance, the digital economy, and energy consumption in ten (10) MENA region countries over a 40-year period, from 1983 to 2023. The research used panel-corrected standard errors (PCSE) estimators to get rid of cross-sectional dependence and heteroscedasticity. According to the findings, the digital economy mainly contributes to cutting energy consumption, whereas green finance has a positive association which is likely due to the rebound effects and the embedded energy costs of green infrastructures. The control variables such as trade openness, technological innovation, and industrial structure are linked in a positive way to higher energy consumption. The findings imply a policy approach that has these two sectors as its main focus, in addition to emphases on digitalization for more efficient operation and green finance for the fostering of the transition of energy sources in the region.

This research examines primary school teachers’ perceptions of organizational justice, trust, and citizenship. The study was conducted with randomly selected 414 primary school teachers working in state schools in six districts.. “Personal Information Form,” “Organizational Justice Scale,” “Organizational Trust Scale,” and “Organizational Citizenship Scale” were used to collect the data. A correlational scanning model was used in the study. Participants scored highly on the Distributive Justice, Interactional Justice, and Procedural Justice dimensions of the Organizational Justice Scale and generally on the Organizational Justice Perception scale. Teachers scored high on the sub-dimensions of Organizational Commitment, Autonomy and Initiative, and Voluntary Participation sub-dimensions of the Organizational Citizenship Scale.Teachers have scored moderately on Respect and Cooperation, Harmony and Obedience, Selflessness, and Conscientiousness sub-dimensions, but have scored low on the overall Organizational Citizenship Perception scale. The strong correlation between teachers’ organizational citizenship behaviors and their perception of organizational trust highlights the potential for schools to build trust and foster active teachers’ participation in school processes. When schools have a strong grasp of justice and foster a culture of trust, it can positively impact school effectiveness and performance. This study offers valuable insights for developing effective strategies aimed at creating a healthier work environment and improving communication within educational institutions. As the first study of its kind conducted in North Cyprus, it serves as a crucial resource for future research in this area, enhancing its significance. In addition, these findings can be valuable for managers, leaders, and researchers seeking to improve the internal dynamics of schools.

Wine tourism is a key segment of the global tourism industry, offering visitors opportunities to explore vineyards, taste wines, and experience cultural heritage. This study examines online reviews to identify positive and negative themes of wine tourism experiences and explores how perceptions vary among traveler types. Data were collected from 2850 TripAdvisor reviews of wineries in Bordeaux, Champagne, and Burgundy, France, and analyzed using Leximancer software. The findings reveal seven key themes, including Wine Quality, Tasting Experiences, Tour Guides, Vineyard Views, and Cultural Charm, alongside Dissatisfaction with Time Management and Value for Money. Variations among traveler types highlight distinct preferences, with solo travelers valuing education, couples prioritizing romance, groups focusing on culture, and families concerned with organization. This study contributes to research on experiential tourism by addressing diverse visitor expectations and enhancing service quality.

Renewable energy development is paramount in supporting the transition to a cleaner environment through green transition policies. Thus, policies and measures that support renewable energy development are fundamental. To this end, studies that examine how renewable energy development is achieved have been performed, but the role of research and development, which is crucial in fostering technological innovations and the role of investment in energy in achieving renewable energy development, is lacking. Therefore, this research was employed to investigate the role of research and development and investment in energy in the BRICS economies. The data of the BRICS economies were used for the period from 2000 to 2021. This study used the ‘Methods of Moments Quantile Regression’ to ensure robust findings are presented, hence informing policies that are crucial in achieving environmental sustainability through using renewable energy in the BRICS economies. Major findings showed that investment in energy, research and development, economic growth, and the overall inflation rate raised RE use in the BRICS countries. Oil rent, financial development, and institutional quality reduced RE development. This research suggests the adoption of vigorous policies that ensure financial resources are channeled toward financing the development of RE in the BRICS economies. Through supporting investment in energy and research and development, the BRICS economies can achieve the goal of sustainable carbon neutrality.
