Prof. Zhenlei Chen currently works as a professor at the Faculty of Maritime and Transportation at Ningbo University. He obtained a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Illinois, USA. He was the former senior engineer of the engine division of Ford Motor Company and technical director of the Sany Group. His research fields are CAE simulation and test detection research for high-end manufacturing, such as for engines and excavators. The main research directions include computer simulation and test detection of strength and fatigue, flow field and performance, vibration and noise of ships and marine engineering machinery, quality improvement and cost control solutions for engineering problems, and energy-saving and emission reduction solutions for engineering machinery.
