Fossil fuel and electricity-powered irrigation techniques boost the water availability expense and increase greenhouse gas emissions. Especially in developing countries, solar-powered irrigation is becoming more popular as a response to the growing energy and environmental issues associated with agriculture systems. The existing study used data from 1080 wheat farmers in Balochistan, Pakistan, to investigate the impact of solar-powered irrigation system (SPIS) usage on the technical efficiency (TE) of wheat production. The TE of wheat production is estimated using a stochastic frontier production function, and the potential self-selectivity bias is addressed using an endogenous switching regression model. The findings indicated that 13.7% of the wheat cultivators assessed used SPISs to produce their crops. Using an endogenous switching regression model shows that SPIS usage increases the TE of wheat growers by 6.657%, after controlling for self-selection bias. While using SPISs, wheat farmers with large farms and farming familiarity had stronger positive effects on TE. The results highlight the need for more investigation and research into evidence-based good practice for SPIS solutions at the site level to ensure that the rollout of modern equipment not only drives the energy sector forward but also contributes significantly to our level playing field and sustainable environment.

The purpose of this research paper is to conducts a comprehensive examination of social media engagement in Pakistan, focusing on user trends across diverse platforms. [1]A longitudinal observational research design was adopted to capture temporal variations in user interactions on major social media platforms. The data collection process involved sourcing monthly engagement metrics from publicly available platform analytics, ensuring accuracy and reliability. The analysis begins with Facebook, revealing distinctive fluctuations in engagement percentages over the observed months. Peaks in November 2022 and subsequent recoveries underscore the impact of seasonality, content dynamics, and platform updates on user behavior. Twitter, as a microblogging platform, maintains a consistent but comparatively lower level of engagement, resiliently serving audiences seeking real-time and concise content. Visual-centric platforms like YouTube and Instagram exhibit dynamic patterns, with YouTube's fluctuating percentages indicating a diverse content landscape and an uptick in Instagram engagement signaling evolving user preferences for visually-driven experiences. Beyond mainstream platforms, the study extends its focus to niche audiences on platforms such as Pinterest, LinkedIn, Reddit, and others, revealing the coexistence of platforms catering to specific interests. the findings contribute to a distinctive understanding of user behavior, uncovering the impact of various factors on engagement percentages across different social media platforms in Pakistan. Future research endeavors can build upon these insights, exploring additional dimensions of social media engagement and it's evolving trends within the digital landscape of Pakistan.

This study investigates the evolving trends in social media usage in Pakistan across three key periods: pre-COVID-19, during COVID-19, and post-COVID-19. This research bases its analysis on data obtained from Stat Counter Global Stats to understand changes in user selection of platforms together with behavioral patterns and social consequences. To ensure validity and reliability, the data were cross-checked with publicly available statistics from individual social media platforms, ensuring consistency in reported usage trends. Facebook held the top spot on social media before the pandemic, yet YouTube together with Instagram and Twitter gained substantial growth from pandemic-era users seeking entertainment and information as well as social contact. Facebook resumed its leadership position following the pandemic period with Instagram and YouTube staying highly popular among users. This research shows Pakistan faces an ongoing digital disparity between metropolises and rural areas, thus requiring better Internet networks alongside digital education initiatives to overcome this gap. This research shows that social media platforms must deliver cultural-specific content together with features that address Pakistani user needs. This study recognizes mental health challenges from heavy social media usage, so it recommends platform-based tools establishing better online behavior practices. This paper proposes strategic guidance for policymakers and social media platforms to establish inclusive digital progress and achieve digital balance in Pakistan.

Introduction: Milk and dairy products are consumed by the human on dailybasis throughout the globe and constitute a huge business by the dairy farmers due to its highdemand. The consumers of milk and milk products expect its high quality, free from the artificialpreservatives and threatening agents. Objectives: To determine the chemical quality of rawbovine milk sold in open markets of district Peshawar. Study Design: Cross-sectional study.Setting: 4 towns, Town 1(Sikandar Town and Gul Bahar) ,2 (Shahi Bala,Methra and Pajjagi),3(University Road and Hayatabad Area), 4 (Hazaekhawani and Badabair Area) of districtPeshawar. Period: 6 months; from November 2016 to April 2017. Methodology: 158 sampleswere selected. All samples were analyzed for adulteration in the Public Health Laboratory phase5 Hayatabad Peshawar. Study duration was 6 months; convenient sampling technique hasbeen followed. Results: Among all 158 samples; 32.3% of the sample were adulterated withwater. 8.9% of sample showed hydrogen per oxide adulteration. Starch, cane sugar and ureaadulteration was in 7.6%, 2.5% and 1.9% samples respectively. Vegetable oil, formalin andsynthetic milk adulteration was in 1.9%, 5.7% and 5.7% of samples respectively. We have LargeScale Vendors i.e. Rural Area 10% showing low and Urban Area 90% as high adulteration, SmallScale Vendors 30% low in rural Area and 70% high adulteration in urban area respectively. Conclusion: This study results provided a base line data of chemical composition of bovinemilk used in Peshawar. Chemical were present and can play key role in alteration of milk whichwe use on daily basis. Water content was high, it means that most of the shop-keepers prefer tomix water in milk to increase the quantity of milk. Use of starch, Vegetable Oil and Formalin wasminimal. Use of hydrogen peroxide, Urea and synthetic milk was very less in provided sample.
