The process of clustering of normalized vegetation indices in five regions with a total area of 2565 hectares of the North Kazakhstan region was studied. A methodological approach to organizing the clustering process is proposed using the vegetation indices NDVI, MSAVI, ReCI, NDWI and NDRE, taking into account individual characteristics in the three main phases of spring wheat development As a result of the research, vegetation indices were grouped into 3 classes using the k-means clustering method. The first cluster contained vegetation indices whose maximum values occupied about 33.98% of the total area of the study area. It was found that NDVImax located in the first cluster was positively correlated with soil-corrected vegetation indices MSAVI and crop moisture indicators NDMI (R2=0.92). The second cluster is characterized by minimum values of NDVImax coefficients at the germination, tillering and ripening phases (from 0.53 to 0.55). The lowest values of vegetation indices occupied 35.9 % in the germination phase, 37.9 % in the tillering phase, and 40.1 % of the field from the total area. The third cluster is characterized by average values of vegetation indices in all three phases. A correlation matrix was also constructed to assess the closeness of the relationship between actual yield and NDVI vegetation indices. The maximum coefficient was obtained at the germination phase, R=0.94 with a minimum significance coefficient p=0.018. The approach used in this study can be useful in the analysis of satellite data, as it can improve the sensitivity of the constellation procedure. From a practical point of view, the results obtained make it possible to assess the condition of agricultural crops in the early stages of the growing season, which makes it possible to improve their productivity based on the results of cluster analysis

Analysis and improvement of crop productivity is one of the most important areas in precision agriculture in the world, including Kazakhstan. In the context of Kazakhstan, agriculture plays a pivotal role in the economy and sustenance of its population. Accurate forecasting of agricultural yields, therefore, becomes paramount in ensuring food security, optimizing resource utilization, and planning for adverse climatic conditions. In-depth analysis and high-quality forecasts can be achieved using machine learning tools. This paper embarks on a critical journey to unravel the intricate relationship between weather conditions and agricultural outputs. Utilizing extensive datasets covering a period from 1990 to 2023, the project aims to deploy advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques to enhance the accuracy and predictability of agricultural yield forecasts. At the heart of this endeavor lies the challenge of integrating and analyzing two distinct types of datasets: historical agricultural yield data and detailed daily weather records of North Kazakhstan for 1990-2023. The intricate task involves not only understanding the patterns within each dataset but also deciphering the complex interactions between them. Our primary objective is to develop models that can accurately predict crop yields based on various weather parameters, a crucial aspect for effective agricultural planning and resource allocation. Using the capabilities of statistical and mathematical analysis in machine learning, a Time series analysis of the main weather factors supposedly affecting crop yields was carried out and a correlation matrix between the factors and crops was demonstrated and analyzed. The study evaluated regression metrics such as Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) and R2 for Random Forest, Decision Tree, Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithms. The results indicated that Random Forest generally outperformed the Decision Tree and SVM in terms of predictive accuracy for potato yield forecasting in North Kazakhstan Region. Random Forest Regressor showed the best performance with an R2 =0.97865. The RMSE values ranged from 0.25 to 0.46, indicating relatively low error rates, and the R2 values were generally positive, indicating a good fit of the model to the data. This paper seeks to address these needs by providing insights and predictive models that can guide farmers, policymakers, and stakeholders in making informed decisions.

The article is devoted to the study of vegetation indices for assessing the productivity of agricultural crops of the North Kazakhstan Agricultural Experimental Station (NKAES) LLP. The research was carried out using a modern software package for processing satellite images, EOS Land Viewer. The work used images from the Landsat 8 (USA) and Sentitel 2 (European Space Agency) spacecraft. Digitized Earth remote sensing data for the last 3 years are presented, showing changes in the amount of moisture reserves on the territory of NKAES LLP. Time series of distribution of the studied coefficients were constructed according to different phases of active vegetation biomass in the study area. The resulting time series made it possible to identify annually repeating patterns, a linear trend of increasing and decreasing NDWI and NDVI on the territory of the NKAES LLP. Review of studies over the past 5 years, published in highly rated foreign journals, on various vegetation indices, including indices designed to assess moisture content in vegetation and soil. It is noted that the first normalized water index, NDWI, using the SWIR infrared channel, unlike the widely used NDVI vegetation index, actually penetrates 80% of the atmosphere. Analysis of the obtained NDWI allowed us to identify dry, moderately dry and fairly humid periods on the territory of the NKAES LPP from 2020 to 2023. Based on the research carried out, the feasibility of using normalized difference water indicators and normalized vegetation indices for further use in forecasting yields in the conditions of the North Kazakhstan region is substantiated. Next, using vegetation indices and additional agrometeorological factors, a linear model for predicting crop yields was developed. The coefficient of determination of the resulting model is 0.90 which indicates that the selected trend line reliably approximates the process under study.

This study investigates the application of Hierarchical clustering for image segmentation, with a focus on its efficacy in analyzing medical images, particularly MRI scans of brain tumors. Image segmentation plays a pivotal role in computer vision, facilitating various applications across industries. Leveraging a systematic approach, we conduct a comprehensive review of recent literature on machine learning algorithms for image segmentation. Subsequently, utilizing a dataset comprising MRI images with and without tumors, we preprocess and analyze the data using the Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG) technique to extract pertinent features. These features serve as input for the Hierarchical clustering algorithm to partition the images into distinct regions of interest. For each row of vectors, the Jensen-Shenton distance was calculated. The resulting symmetric matrices are distances among the corresponding vectors, quantifying dissimilarity in cluster analysis. Our findings underscore the effectiveness of Hierarchical clustering in clustering medical images, with potential implications for advancing computational analysis in healthcare and related domains.

Dealing with agriculture, it is valuable to know an amount of moisture in a soil and to know how to forecast the stored soil moisture within particular period. Forecasting the stored soil moisture works for planning an extent and structure of crop production areas and adjustment of plant-growing programs. Having known about an amount of moisture in one-meter soil and the depth of precipitation in a vegetation season shall help farmers to determine a seeding time, type of fertilizers depending on soil quality and to work out an irrigation schedule as well. In this regard, over the last few years some vigorous activities applied to machine training methods of the weather forecast have been launched in the world. The goal of present research is to develop an artificial neuron network which shall afford an opportunity to figure out a stored soil moisture prior to outgoing to winter in a short-term. North Kazakhstan Region agrometeorological measuring stations for the period from 2012 to 2022 were used in the course of the neuron network training. The Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm aimed at non-linear regression models optimization was chosen for network training. The algorithm includes sequential approximation of initial parameter values to a local optimum. The mean squared error (MSE) function and the correlation coefficient ensure accuracy and precision of forecasts. As a result, 7 neural networks under MATLAB environment using the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm, with different input and output data, and with different number of learning iterations came to realization. Following analysis of the results, the choice was fallen on the ANN9 best network offering minimum error function and actual data maximum correlation. The neural network obtained fits for use to make efficient decisions in the North Kazakhstan region agricultural sector in the short term.
