Dr. Huahua Du is a professor of animal science at Zhejiang University. She earned her Doctoral degree in Zhejiang University in 2006. She was promoted to associate professor in 2009 and professor in 2020. She spent two years to do collaborative research with Prof. Sean Whelan in Harvard Medical School in US, supported by the “New Star Program” from Zhejiang University and CSC scholarship. She was awarded the Distinguished Young Scholar by Zhejiang University in 2014 and won the Zhejiang Provincial Outstanding Youth Fund in 2016. Her recent research interests include animal nutrition and immunology, especially on the relationship of iron homeostasis and immunology, the functions of antimicrobial peptides and intestinal immunity of piglets.
