The study is devoted to the preparation of the AlMgSi1 (6082) aluminum alloy for the study of its mechanical and physico-chemical properties under rolling conditions. The purpose of the work is to develop a methodology for preparing an alloy that provides reproducible analysis of its properties. The main directions include the study of rheological and plastic properties of the material, as well as thermal effects during deformation. The scientific significance of the work lies in the analysis of the effect of heat treatment and deformation parameters on the plastic fluidity and corrosion resistance of the alloy. The practical significance lies in improving the quality of materials for various industrial applications. The methodology included experiments with heat treatment and rolling, analysis of the microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloy. The tests were carried out on samples at different temperatures and strain rates using the STD 812 torsion plastomer. The results showed that the plasticizing stress of the alloy increases with deformation at low temperatures and decreases at high temperatures. The conclusions confirm the significant influence of temperature and strain rate on the properties of the alloy.

This paper presents an extended comparative analysis of the traditional injection molding technology and additive 3D printing technology in the production of polymer rollers for belt conveyors of various applications. The technological features of the processes, their production limitations, economic feasibility, and areas of rational application in mass and small-batch manufacturing are considered. The mass and dimensional characteristics of the rollers were calculated, and the reduction in metal consumption compared with conventional steel analogues was evaluated. The influence of reducing the mass of rotating components on the dynamic parameters of the system, including starting loads, operating modes, and overall energy consumption of the conveyor line, was analyzed. It is shown that the use of modern polymer materials allows reducing the roller mass by more than two times without deterioration of operational characteristics. This contributes to improved energy efficiency, reduced wear of drive units, and increased service life of the equipment. Criteria for selecting the manufacturing technology depending on production volume, strength requirements, and operating conditions are determined.

The purpose of the work is to analyse various methods of calculation of the durability of the roller life of belt conveyor rollers and to select the best methodology for determining the real life of the roller. The calculated life of the roller is often very different from the real life, so determining the real life of the roller is an important task. The calculation of the roller is carried out on the most frequently failing unit in the product – bearing unit. The calculation of bearing unit durability according to ISO 281:1990 and the methodology proposed by bearing manufacturer SKF has been analysed. The conducted analysis of calculation methods and literature in this area showed that modern bearings meet high standards and rarely fail, the main causes of failure are external conditions, such as high humidity, dust, etc. The main causes of failure are external conditions. I.e. it is desirable to use calculation methods that take into account the protection of the bearing unit. It is known that monotonous, uniform operation of the product without peak critical loads is impossible and this is also reflected in the calculations of modern bearings. The result of the analysis was the calculation of the belt conveyor roller of a new design, which implies an increase in the service life of the product. The area of application of the results obtained by the authors is the improvement of the methodology for determining the life of bearings and determining the service life of belt conveyor rollers working in difficult operating conditions. The results of this work can be used in the study of various belt and roller conveyors to improve the reliability and durability of its components.

One of the modern trends in the development of information technology is that the technical capabilities of information and measurement systems (IMS) are widely used in all areas. Due to the capabilities of modern technologies, there is a need to improve communication networks and improve the quality of their bandwidth, as well as to compress data in the IMS due to the fact that the amount of information is transmitted through communication networks. Various methods of compressing the amount of information in the storage, processing and transmission of large arrays of information in communication channels are considered. Highly informative data compression is effectively performed in telemetry measurement systems. For example, in spacecraft and satellite systems, the bandwidth of the communication channel is minimized by using various compression methods in collecting data and transmitting them to the control station. This is an innovative scientific direction that allows you to collect, measure and transfer various parameters to remote devices. Compression methods focus on separate data processing in different data sources. Open or hidden information connections are increasingly interconnected in ways that can increase data compression capabilities. Strengthens the implementation of compression methods for data obtained from complex measurement parameters at the design stage of IMS. Thus, the consideration of methods for measuring, processing and compressing data is an urgent task. The article reflects the results of research on data compression methods.

Modern requirements for aluminum alloys used in mechanical engineering and aviation include increased strength characteristics and refined microstructure. One of the promising methods for improving the properties of aluminum alloys is rolling on a three-high skew rolling mill, which provides intense plastic deformation and a fine-grained structure. This study describes the results of numerical modeling of the rolling process of aluminum alloy 6082 rods in a three-high skew-type mill. Numerical modeling of alloy 6082 was conducted using the ForgeNxT 2.1 software designed to simulate metal-forming processes, including rolling. The rheological behavior of the material under study was investigated by compression tests using a Gleeble 3800 plastometer (“DSI”, Austin, TX, USA), which enabled the determination of the main parameters of material flow under specified conditions. The process of rolling bars of alloy 6082 on a three-high skew mill was numerically analyzed in the temperature range of 350–400 °C. This allowed for the study of the distribution of stresses, temperatures, and strain rates from the rolling mode. A physical experiment was conducted to validate the results of numerical modeling. The obtained results enabled the identification of rolling modes that promote microstructure refinement and enhance the mechanical properties of the alloy.
