Mario Arzamendia holds a BSc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Brasilia (Brazil) , a MSc. in Electronic Engineering from Mie University (Japan) and a Phd. in Electronics, Automation and Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Seville (Spain). Currently he is a Professor at the Department of Electronics and Mechatronics Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at the National University of Asuncion (FIUNA). Also he is the Coordinator of the Laboratory of Distributed Systems (LSD). His main research interest is in the area of small autonomous vehicles particularly autonomous surface vehicles and their applications in monitoring tasks. Additionally he is interested in Deep Learning applied for solving problems in the domain of Autonomous Vehicles, Precision Agriculture and Intelligent Transportation Systems.
