Elisa Fracchia is a Ph.D. student at Politecnico di Torino, Department of Management and Production Engineering (DIGEP) and she is affiliated to Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per la Scienza e Tecnologia dei Materiali (INSTM). She obtained her bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a Master's degree in Material Science and Engineering in 2017. She subsequently worked as a research fellow until 2021, when she started the PhD. Her research interest concerns light alloys, particularly aluminium alloys, for wrought and casting purposes. The research of the whole group deals with the study and characterization of automotive components and the design of new challenging alloys.
