Prof. Dr. Emiliano Mucchi is an associate professor in the
Department of Engineering, University of Ferrara, Italy. He received his M.S.
degree (cum laude) in Mechanical Engineering in 2003 and his Ph.D. in Mechanics
of Machines in 2007, both from the University of Ferrara. He was an assistant
professor from 2010 to 2017 and has been an associate professor since 2018. His
research focuses on noise and vibrations of machines, including elastodynamic
models, condition monitoring, diagnostics, and experimental vibration
measurements, with applications to gear pumps, wind turbines, and gearboxes. He
